r4construct window contents dissapear iin join mode

Hey, I jus downloaded r4construct and there is a strange thing going on.
When i go in join mode, and want to connect some boxes, when i click in the design window in or outside of the red boxes, the content of the design window dissapears, its empty!
It also happens in the other mode but not always.

This doesnt happen when the design windows is maximized. But then I cant see the other windows or my taskbar.

Only when I select a different mode it appears back again.
I just downloaded .net framework and java, the newest versions. I have windows xp sp2
